Major Car Accident in Ararat Province: Injuries Reported

On June 5, a major car accident occurred in the Ararat Province. Around 09:20 AM, Captain Karapet Harutyunyan of the 2nd Battalion’s 1st Company of the Road Police received operational information about a vehicle overturned on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway, near the bridge leading into the city of Artashat.

According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, officers from the same battalion quickly arrived. It was determined that an Opel vehicle had, under still unclear circumstances, veered off the roadway, collided with concrete barriers, knocked down traffic regulation signs, and ended up flipped over beneath a stone wall of a nearby building.

As a result of the accident, two individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the Artashat Medical Center.
