Mkhitaryan Must Respond to Roma: Ultimatum Issued
The Italian club Roma has issued an ultimatum to Armenia's former national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan. This was reported by renowned sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
On his website, the journalist noted that today, June 3, the Armenian footballer must answer the question of whether he will sign a new contract with Roma or not.
Recently, the club presented a new offer to the player: €3.5 million plus bonuses that could increase to €4.1 million if he plays regularly, with additional bonuses accruing every 15 days.
The proposal also includes a one-year contract that can be automatically extended for another season should Roma qualify for European competitions.
Earlier, it was reported that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is likely to leave Roma this summer as a free agent, according to Sky Sport Italia.
According to the source, during a meeting held today, the leadership of the Roman club informed the representatives of the Armenian midfielder that they do not intend to improve their offer regarding the extension of the contract.
