Chelsea Confirms Official Change of Club Ownership

LONDON – Chelsea Football Club has issued a statement on its official website confirming the change of ownership rights for the club. According to RT, the statement reads: ‘Roman Abramovich has completed the sale of Chelsea Football Club to a consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.’

Abramovich purchased Chelsea in 2003 for £140 million. Since then, the London club has won the Premier League five times, the Champions League twice, and the Europa League once, in addition to clinching the FA Cup five times and the League Cup three times.
