11 Individuals Detained, Criminal Case Initiated: Police
The police have released an official statement indicating that on June 3, at the intersection of Demirchyan and Paronyan streets in Yerevan, participants in a civil disobedience rally exhibited unlawful behavior following calls from the organizers. In particular, they failed to comply with the legal demands of law enforcement officers maintaining public order, assaulted them, and threw bottles, stones, and metal objects at the police.
As a result of the events, by 11:00 PM, 34 police officers and 16 civilians were transported to various medical facilities with injuries. A total of 11 individuals were detained. A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
