Tigran Khachatryan, Son of Surik Khachatryan, Arrested

The court has accepted the request to arrest Tigran Khachatryan, the son of former Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan. This information was shared on social media by his lawyer, Benik Glashtyan.

“The court, presided over by Judge Arghamanyan, granted the investigator's request for Tigran Khachatryan's arrest. The only evidence supporting the reasonable suspicion is a testimony taken from a police operative, which directly violates the imperative requirements established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and the precedent set by the Court of Cassation (the well-known Jhangiryan case). I will be filing a report regarding the crimes committed by the judge, investigator, and operative… I am confident they will be held accountable sooner or later, specifically, they will be PUNISHED,” he wrote.
