Video: Since November 2020, We Have Implemented a 136 Billion Dram Program in Artsakh, Prime Minister Details
“Since November 2020, we have implemented a program worth 136 billion drams in Artsakh. 120 billion drams have been allocated for Artsakh-related programs in 2021,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the discussion on the execution of the 2021 state budget in parliament today, May 31.
Pashinyan noted that this funding has covered the utility costs for the population of Artsakh: “In 2021, the entire utility expenses of the population of Artsakh were paid by the Armenian government. A specific vital threshold was established, above which payments were not made. However, we covered the utility expenses of the entire population of Artsakh above the established threshold.”
“In 2021, the salaries of all state sector employees in Artsakh were paid through the budget of the Armenian government. This means that salaries for everyone from members of parliament to government officials were covered by the Armenian government. The expenses for the healthcare system in Artsakh were also funded by the Armenian government, from the taxes of the Armenian people,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
“I would like to remind that support has been provided through various programs in cases of property damage, and one-time assistance has also been given to citizens registered in Artsakh for several months — to 108,000 people, 68,000 drams plus 15,000 drams. This program has continued for several months,” Pashinyan concluded.
