It is dangerous when the Prime Minister of Armenia officializes Aliyev's false numbers regarding prisoners; this was stated today by human rights defender and Armenia’s representative on prisoner issues at the European Court of Human Rights, Siranush Sahakyan, in an interview with MediaHub.am.

It is noteworthy that Sahakyan had previously announced that the actual number of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan is 119.

Sahakyan emphasized that the return of prisoners is a priority and that this government must stop fulfilling Azerbaijan's new demands and present the reality to the international community.

“If a state is preparing for peace, it must act in good faith and deliberately not distort figures, while in the case of Azerbaijan, we see a blatant intent to distort and mislead the reality,” she stressed.
