Criminal Case Initiated in Connection with Soldier's Murder

The Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Paragraphs 7 and 13 of Part 2 of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code regarding the murder of a soldier due to gunfire from the Azerbaijani armed forces' combat position. This information has been reported by the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary information, on May 28, 2022, at approximately 10:40, a conscript of the RA Ministry of Defense's military unit N, Private Davit Vahani Vardanyan, sustained a gunshot wound to the groin area of his left leg as a result of shots fired by an enemy sniper while on combat duty. He was subsequently transported to the medical center in Kapan, where his biological death was recorded at 03:47 on May 29, 2022.
