Former Armenian Foreign Minister Oskenyan Will Not Attend Inquiry Committee on 44-Day War

Former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskenyan has announced in a statement to the media that he will not attend the hearings of the National Assembly's inquiry committee investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war.

“I learned from the press that the inquiry committee investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war has invited me to the hearings. I have not received an official invitation yet. In any case, I have decided not to attend for two reasons,” Oskenyan stated.

According to him, the first reason is his disbelief in the sincerity and honesty of the committee's objectives, and the second reason is that he can only provide one answer to all questions: “If there had been skilled and correct diplomacy regarding the negotiations around Nagorno-Karabakh, the war simply would not have occurred.”
