No Document Signing Planned at the Brussels Meeting Between Pashinyan, Michel, and Aliyev: Armen Grigoryan

No document signing is planned during the tripartite meeting in Brussels between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, EU Council President Charles Michel, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

This was reported by Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, in response to a question from Armenpress.

Grigoryan also addressed criticism regarding the secrecy of the meeting's agenda, stating, "This is at least a strange criticism, as the current agenda of our discussions with Azerbaijan is well known. These are the points presented by us and Azerbaijan for the normalization of relations or the start of peace negotiations, which are also published and include topics related to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the return of prisoners, clarification of the fate of missing persons, issues regarding the opening of regional communications, delimitation and demarcation of borders, as well as issues related to the initiation of work on border security via bilateral commissions. This is the same agenda that has been discussed in previous meetings."

Regarding the question of any document signing in Brussels, the Security Council Secretary noted the existence of a tripartite working group on the opening of regional communications, co-chaired by deputy prime ministers, and emphasized that discussions on agreements reached at a high level should continue in that format. The same can be said for other issues that are discussed in greater detail in working formats. Therefore, no document signing is planned in Brussels. It is expected that there will be a message about the results of the discussions.
