Video: Complete Footage of Armenia's First Satellite Launch Into Space

Armenia’s first space satellite has been launched into orbit around Earth. This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the start of the Armenian government session.

The topic was also addressed by Hakob Arshakyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia and former Minister of High-Tech Industry.

“Armenia has launched an Earth observation satellite. On May 25, 2022, at 22:35 Yerevan time, the Falcon 9 rocket from SpaceX was launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, USA, carrying the Transporter-5 spacecraft, which placed 59 small satellites into Earth’s orbit, including Armenia’s Earth observation satellite.

It would be superfluous to mention the enormous efforts that were invested in realizing this task, and I would like to extend special thanks to all those who have worked and are working on the development of space policy, program formulation, and implementation. The support of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for such strategically significant innovative projects, along with the priorities of the Government program approved by the National Assembly, opens new horizons for scientific and technological advancement in Armenia,” Arshakyan wrote on his Facebook page.
