Ukrainian Soldiers Found and Arrested in Azovstal: Pushilin
Ukrainian soldiers who were hiding or had not surrendered have been discovered and arrested at the Azovstal facility in Mariupol, said Denis Pushilin, the leader of the Donetsk People's Republic, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
In response to a question about whether it can be confidently stated that there are no Ukrainian soldiers or nationalist militants remaining in the territory of Azovstal, Pushilin stated, “No, it cannot be. They could be hiding; they could be lost somewhere. We cannot give a 100% answer until we thoroughly check, and the area is quite serious.”
Furthermore, according to Pushilin, such individuals do not currently pose an active threat: “Of course, it will be necessary to uncover them if they exist. I’m not saying that they are 100% there or that everything is entirely clear now. After our units inspect everything, only then can we say that no one remains there,” he noted.
