"Mr. Jhangiryan, you can be used, we have lost our children in this war" - Meeting at the Supreme Judicial Council has ended

The meeting began with accusations directed at the parents by Gagik Jhangiryan, who believes that they have no other motivation to be part of this and that political forces are using them. This was stated to reporters by one of the parents of soldiers killed in the 44-day war, who had left the meeting at the Supreme Judicial Council before it was over.

“Mr. Jhangiryan, you and those like you can be used. We have lost our children in this war, and actors like you are part of a poorly staged performance. He shared some technical difficulties with us, saying that they are working under bad technical conditions, and because of those problems, they have lost Karen Bisharyan,” he said.

Another parent who exited the meeting noted that the law does not apply equally in this case. “Jhangiryan was telling fairy tales. I left when he literally said that we have nothing to do with this trial, telling the parents, ‘You are an audience during this trial.’ At that moment, I left; it was a very unpleasant meeting. We have a case related to this trial, and Nikol must be tried as a traitor,” said one of the parents of the fallen soldiers.

It should be noted that about 30 parents met with Gagik Jhangiryan at the Supreme Judicial Council. Relatives of those who were killed and went missing during the 44-day war were protesting in front of the Supreme Judicial Council, demanding a criminal case to be opened against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on charges of state treason.
