Author of 'How to Kill Your Husband' Convicted of Killing Her Husband for Insurance Money

American author Nancy Crampton Brophy, known for her essay 'How to Kill Your Husband', has been found guilty of murdering her husband by an Oregon court, reports the New York Times.

Brophy's husband, chef Daniel Brophy, was found dead on June 2, 2018. According to the report, the cause of death was gunshot wounds to the torso. Nancy Crampton Brophy was arrested on September 5, 2018, and charged with murder.

Investigators indicated that the Brophy family was facing serious financial difficulties, and the 71-year-old Crampton Brophy allegedly committed the crime to collect on her husband's insurance policy. Nancy Crampton Brophy's sentencing will be announced on June 13.
