Abramovich Officially No Longer Chelsea Owner; Replacement Identified
Russian businessman Roman Abramovich has sold his Chelsea football club to American billionaire Todd Boehly. This has been reported by the official website of the UK government, according to Gazeta.
Initially, the sale of the club was approved by the leadership of the English Premier League. The deal is worth approximately 5 billion euros; however, the Russian businessman will not receive this amount.
It is worth noting that on March 10, it was announced that the UK had included Roman Abramovich on its sanctions list, freezing the businessman’s assets in the country. Later, the Premier League's leadership removed Abramovich from his position as the head of the football club.
