Is This Fair? No. Zelensky
The President of Ukraine has criticized Western countries for their lack of unity regarding Ukraine's membership in the EU, the imposition of the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, and the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO. Zelensky made these remarks today during the 'Ukrainian Breakfast' at the economic forum in Davos, as reported by focus.ua.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine today does not feel that Western countries perceive it as an equal state. He also addressed the issue of Ukraine's application for EU membership. The President noted that the West lacks a unified stance on this matter.
'Now regarding the European Union: Please tell me, is there unity regarding Ukraine's future? Is there unity? I do not see that. Is this fair? No,' Zelensky said.
Additionally, the president pointed out that the sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia, which should include an oil embargo, has not yet been adopted due to Hungary's objections.
'Everyone says that during this period Russia will earn 200 billion dollars with which they can buy any weapons. Has the sixth package been imposed? No. Why not? Because something does not suit Hungary; there is something wrong with oil. Somehow they see the world differently... They are told, 'People are dying in Ukraine, children are being killed,' and they respond, 'Everything is clear: So what do we do about oil? Where do we find the money?' Zelensky stated.
