Footage: Tension Erupts During Court Hearing on Pashinyan's Case
The Armenian Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Karen Bisharyan, is reviewing an appeal against the decision not to initiate criminal proceedings for state treason against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The appeal was filed by Arzvik Minasyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, and lawyer Hakob Martirosyan.
Judge Karen Bisharyan stated that Arsen Ghukasyan, a relative of one of the fallen soldiers, was obstructing the proceedings and ordered him to leave the courtroom. Ghukasyan responded that he had no intention of leaving the courtroom.
“Get out,” the judge commanded.
As court marshals approached Ghukasyan to escort him out, tensions escalated, resulting in a scuffle between the marshals and the relatives of the fallen soldiers.
The court hearing has been adjourned.
