Failed Assassination Attempt Against Putin, Says Ukraine's Defense Ministry

The head of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry intelligence department, Kyrylo Budanov, has asserted that an assassination attempt was made against Russian President Vladimir Putin following the onset of the Russo-Ukrainian war.

In an interview with Ukrainska Pravda, Budanov revealed that not long ago an attempt was made on Putin's life through representatives of "Caucasian nationality."

"This is not public information and has not been disclosed. It was a completely unsuccessful attempt, but it did occur about two months ago," he stated.
