Gazprom Neft Announces Redirection of Oil from European Market to Asia
The Russian company Gazprom Neft is redirecting its crude oil to developing countries, including Asian markets. This was stated by the company's CEO, Alexander Dyukov, during the New Horizons marathon of the Knowledge Union, TASS reports.
Dyukov also noted that he considers the Asian market to be the most promising. “We all know that the demand for oil and oil products is mainly increasing in developing countries, and in this regard, the Asian market is the most promising. In particular, we are redirecting the volumes that we previously supplied to more traditional European markets,” he said.
The head of Gazprom Neft emphasized that the company operates without failures, despite the pressure from restrictive measures that were previously imposed by European countries and the United States.
Dyukov added that a possible embargo on Russian oil would lead to an increase in energy prices and interruptions in fuel supply to engines. He also believes that rejecting Russian oil would result in power outages in Europe.
Earlier today, the New York Times reported that U.S. authorities are discussing measures to deprive Russia of oil revenues.
