Approval of Tender Package for M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra Road Construction Works Under North-South Program

Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan, a regular meeting of the management council for the North-South Road Corridor and the rehabilitation and improvement of the M-6 Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border interstate road took place today.

During the meeting, the tender package for the construction works of the M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra road section from km 37+545 to km 71+435 (approximately 34 km) was approved as part of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program, Tranche 2.

It is noteworthy that a loan agreement was signed between the Republic of Armenia and the Asian Development Bank to provide investment financing for the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program (Tranche 2).

The program includes construction works for the M1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra road section from km 29+600 to km 37+545 (approximately 8 km) and from km 37+545 to km 71+435 (approximately 34 km) during the period of 2021-2023.

Other agenda items were also discussed during the council meeting.
