Police Stations Have Collapsed: No Space Left in Departments, Says Saghatelyan
“Police stations have collapsed. This was stated by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ishkhan Saghatelyan on his Facebook page. He specifically noted:
“At this moment, the number of detained protesters is so large that there is no space left in the departments. Our citizens are being transported by buses from one place to another, still unaware of which department they might eventually be accepted into. Moreover, there are already reports that police buses in less crowded streets of the city are simply stopping and releasing the detained protesters. This is an unprecedented phenomenon.
Meanwhile, those who have found space in police stations are organizing large protests right there. From the windows of all police departments in Yerevan, as well as from police buses, chants of ‘Armenia without Nikol’ and ‘Armenia without Turks’ can be heard. This means that a part of the protests has moved into the police stations. Long live, honorable fathers, this movement is unstoppable, your victory is inevitable.”
It should be noted that the “Resistance” movement has restarted acts of civil disobedience early this morning, demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan. In various parts of Yerevan, they have blocked roads, and the road from Mashtots Avenue to the airport is closed. The police are trying to restore traffic. There are many detainees.
