Investigators Insulted Parents of Fallen Soldiers: Vahan Hovhannisyan
The Military Investigative Main Department's investigators verbally abused the parents of fallen soldiers with sexual insults. This was reported to journalists by the parents' lawyer, Vahan Hovhannisyan, after leaving a closed meeting at the Investigative Committee.
“After the meeting concluded, the investigators and employees of the Military Investigative Main Department, whom I do not personally know, directed sexual insults towards the parents of the deceased, including insults directed at mothers, which later led to an uproar,” he stated, as reported by Sputnik.
The lawyer also noted that during the meeting it was revealed that incorrect information had been provided by the military prosecutor's office, falsely claiming that their petition had been granted. “The military prosecutor rejected the bail petition with his decision. The rejection was also sent to the Investigative Committee,” the lawyer mentioned.
Regarding the petition to involve and interrogate Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan as a defendant in the case, Vahan Hovhannisyan stated that it has been sent to the Military Investigative Main Department, and is currently there but has been postponed.
It was also noted that the commotion and mutual insults continued for several minutes even after the meeting.
