Unknown Gunman Kills 10 People in Buffalo Supermarket in Racist Attack: Details

A shooting occurred in the city of Buffalo, New York, where an assailant entered a supermarket and opened fire on people, NBC reports, citing law enforcement sources. As a result of the incident, 10 people have died, including the suspect, the channel reports, according to RT.

According to information, the armed individual entered the Tops Friendly Markets store on Jefferson Avenue around 2:30 PM local time and began firing at customers. Authorities have not ruled out racial motives for the actions of the man who fired shots in Buffalo.

As reported by Voice of America, U.S. President Joe Biden issued a statement condemning the shooting that took place in Buffalo yesterday. “We still need to know more about the motives behind today’s shooting, but as long as law enforcement does their job, we don’t need anything else to highlight the clear moral truth,” Biden continued, “Any act of domestic terrorism, including that committed under the disgusting banner of white nationalist ideology, is antithetical to everything we stand for in America. Hate should have no safe harbor. We must do everything we can to put an end to hate-fueled domestic terrorism.”

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also condemned any manifestation of racism related to the shooting that killed ten people in the Buffalo supermarket in New York State, according to the deputy spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Farhan Haq. “The Secretary-General was shocked by the killing of ten people as a result of a racist act of violent extremism in Buffalo,” he said. Haq noted that Guterres is hopeful for the triumph of justice.
