Food and Fuel Prices Expected to Rise: Central Bank Forecast

The Central Bank of Armenia predicts an increase in food and fuel prices. This was announced today by the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, Hovhannes Khachatryan, during a meeting of the Permanent Commission on Financial and Budgetary Issues of the National Assembly.

According to him, this forecast is based on studies and observations of global markets, where price increases are also anticipated in the near future.

"Food and energy prices will remain at high levels because in our main forecast scenario there has been a significant period of geopolitical tension," said Khachatryan.
