Agricultural University Lecturer, Single Mother Emma Sargsyan Released
Agricultural University lecturer and single mother Emma Sargsyan has been released. She made this announcement on her Facebook page.
“I have lived through the two hardest days of my life, yesterday and the day before. I am grateful to everyone who offered their support to me, both known and unknown. I am especially thankful to those who expressed their willingness to support my daughter and be by her side. I had no means of communication for two days, and this morning, when I was finally home, I was truly touched to read your posts, messages, and comments,” she wrote.
Emma Sargsyan was arrested on the night of May 12-13 in connection with a criminal case involving the coercion of students to participate in opposition protests. She has a 13-year-old minor daughter, and since her close relatives are not in the country, Emma Sargsyan had left the child with distant relatives.
