The Ministry of Defense announced today that at 10:15 AM, the body of Private Argishti Armeni Yeghyan (born in 2002) was discovered at one of the combat posts of military unit N, located in the eastern direction of the Republic, with a gunshot wound to the chest.

To learn more about Argishti Yeghyan, LURER.com contacted Ruben Manucharyan, the head of the Shakhe village community in Sisian, who turned out to be a relative of the fallen soldier's family. He stated that there were three children in the family: two daughters and one son. The soldier's father is a mechanic, and his mother is a housewife, describing them as a respectable family. A family relative referred to him with a saying: "God's innocent lamb."

"He was very calm, modest, and shy, well-behaved, endowed only with positive traits. Even at that age, he would blush when talking to someone. After all this, I consider it unnecessary to talk about his being combative. Argishti was studying at the state university, specializing in English and Spanish languages. He was a highly developed young man; due to his exceptional abilities, the university sent him to the USA for a year. However, he returned early because of the coronavirus and was drafted into the army," the community leader noted.

He also mentioned that Argishti was serving in one of the units in Vardenis, and his year and a half of service would soon be completed. Ruben Manucharyan highlighted that being aware of the deceased soldier’s mother’s heart condition, they were very careful in delivering the news to the family. "Before delivering the news, we made all the arrangements and called an ambulance because the mother has heart issues. When she came out of the house, we announced the news, and she fainted. The doctor and nurse immediately provided assistance," he explained. "When we informed Argishti's father, he cried and said that he had spoken with his son until 3 AM and hadn’t noticed anything unusual; as always, Argishti was in a very good mood at that time," he sadly emphasized.
