When the Referendum on Joining Russia in South Ossetia Will Be Held

It has been announced when the referendum regarding joining Russia in South Ossetia will take place. This was reported by ТАСС.

The acting president of the country, Anatoly Bibilov, has scheduled the referendum for July 17.

According to Article 50, Clause 16 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Ossetia, I hereby announce the holding of a referendum in the Republic of South Ossetia [on the issue of joining the Russian Federation]. … The date for the referendum has been set for July 17, 2022,” states the published official document.
