Shoigu Discusses Situation in Ukraine with Pentagon Chief

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin held talks with Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergey Shoigu. Earlier, the Pentagon had complained that it had made several attempts to contact Russia's General Staff, but no one had responded.

“On May 13, at the initiative of the American side, Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergey Shoigu had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, during which they discussed current issues of international security, including the situation in Ukraine,” the report states, citing RIA Novosti.
