Kocharian and Sargsyan Have Not Reached an Agreement: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports.

'Our sources in the opposition movement say that as long as the shadow beneficiaries of the movement, Serge Sargsyan and Robert Kocharian, have not reached an agreement on the candidacy of a temporary prime minister, the movement will not grow, will not gain new momentum; at best, the current situation will be maintained, but it is highly likely that it will decline, as the Armenian people tend to follow individuals, and few are united by ideology. Furthermore, without clarity on who will be the temporary prime minister, the forces in the public square are not utilizing all their resources. Very few are informed about the discussions and plans between the two former presidents.

We are told that there is only one certainty: there is a consensus between Robert Kocharian and Serge Sargsyan that neither of them will be a candidate for prime minister, and they tend to propose a politically neutral person as much as possible. It has been discussed that former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan's candidacy was considered, but he has not consented to it; he, accustomed to comfort as a former official, has not wanted to engage in the struggle and take on serious responsibility.'
