Assault on Elderly in Gyumri Fully Disclosed

In the investigation of the criminal case conducted by the Shirak regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee, as a result of investigative and procedural actions, as well as necessary measures undertaken in cooperation with the RA police, the incident of violence against elderly men during a car rally organized by the political opposition on Yerevan Highway in Gyumri has been completely solved, reports 1lurer.am.

It has been revealed that the identities of two additional youths who inflicted violence on the aforementioned men are Velikhan Khlghatyan, born in 1999, from Yerevan, and Gevorg Muradyan, born in 1999, from Kotayk region. Both individuals have been arrested.

Earlier, it was reported that on May 8, 2022, a group of young people, after getting out of a car, approached elderly men standing at a public transport stop on Yerevan Highway in Gyumri and began to strike them on various parts of their bodies.

It was revealed that the victims of these young men’s criminal actions are citizens aged 74, 56, 72, and 84. Currently, criminal proceedings are being conducted against 7 individuals in connection with this case. The pre-investigation continues.
