Authorities Hesitant to Act Against Police Who Spit on Detainees Who Throw Bottles at Citizens, Says Abrahamyan
Member of Parliament Tigran Abrahamyan from the "Honorary" faction writes:
“Authorities are not hasty in issuing decisions or evaluations regarding the police who throw bottles at people, grossly violate the professional activities of journalists, and show inhumane treatment toward those participating in peaceful acts of civil disobedience. The entire law enforcement system is focused on introducing provocateurs and inciting clashes. We were also reflecting on what kinds of provocations or clashes the various security forces were warning about prior to the active actions of the opposition.
It is now clear; the government is using the law enforcement system as a tool to suppress citizen protests at all costs and extend its own power. Moreover, I reiterate, in this process, the government has no limitations on the grotesque means it employs.”
