Sos Janibekyan is a regular employee in the "100 Houses in Artsakh" project, Babayan

Arsen Babayan, a member of the "Homeland" party council, addressed the controversy surrounding actor Sos Janibekyan. Babayan condemned the incident involving the actor but spoke of a "manipulative circumstance."

"What happened with the well-known actor Sos Janibekyan, regardless of the fact that I have already mentioned Sos's provocation, is undoubtedly condemnable. We had the opportunity to express our position on this incident, which is based on the principles of legality and the exclusion of physical retribution. But there is a manipulative circumstance that this government is using. They are trying to turn Sos into a patriotic figure who loves Artsakh, supposedly carrying out a great charitable program for the population of Artsakh. What is it about? This charitable program is called '100 Houses in Artsakh.' However, it turns out that Sos is simply a regular paid employee in this project. In other words, by participating in this initiative, Sos is not doing any charity; on the contrary, he is securing his personal well-being.

In other words, genuine benefactors allocate part of their own resources so that 100 houses can be provided to those in need in Artsakh, whereas Sos earns a salary from these resources and adds to his personal finances. Moreover, I emphasize that I am not criticizing Sos in any way, nor am I blaming him; I do not belittle the work he is doing. He performs his job for which he receives compensation. But it is clear that to portray him as a benefactor or great patriot due to this work is merely a manipulative trick that this government employs by any means possible.

By the way, this is akin to attributing the role of a great benefactor to the director of the Pan-Armenian Foundation, while we all know he merely manages the funds raised by great benefactors. For this, he receives a high salary and thereby improves his personal finances," Babayan wrote.
