Police Issue Statement Regarding Opposition Protests

The Police have issued a statement regarding the ongoing opposition protests in the capital.

“Most participants in the public demonstrations held in the capital exhibit lawful behavior; therefore, the police have not and will not use force against these individuals. However, given that some provocateurs and individuals demonstrating aggressive and unlawful behavior are also participating in the public demonstrations and inciting confrontations, the police announce that they will prevent any illegal actions by exercising the authority granted to them by law. Once again, we urge not to succumb to provocations and to conduct the protests solely within the boundaries of legality.”
