Petro Saroian Abducted by Several Plainclothes Police Officers, Manukyan Details

Member of the ARF party, Petro Saroian, has been abducted by several police officers in plain clothes, but he is already free. This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, a member of the National Assembly's Armenia bloc, during a conversation with reporters.

Earlier, lawyer Benik Galstyan wrote on his Facebook page that unknown individuals had abducted ARF member Petro Saroian in Yerevan on the evening of May 10. He expressed his belief that the abductors were not employees of law enforcement agencies.

“Lawyer Benik Galstyan contacted both the operatives of the Shirak regional police and officials to ensure that Saroian would present himself at the precinct if necessary. However, at midnight, several police officers in plain clothes simply abducted him,” Manukyan said.

According to Manukyan, Saroian was released at 4:00 am. He did not rule out that the lawyer might appeal to the Anti-Corruption Committee.
