Another Interim Metro Station to Be Built: Tigran Avinyan
Former Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan has announced on his Facebook page:
“I am pleased to inform that among the large-scale projects expected in the capital soon is not only the construction of the previously announced ‘Ajapnyak’ metro station in Yerevan but also the construction of another interim station near the ‘Petak’ shopping center and the acquisition of 250 new electric buses.
These projects will significantly transform the entire transportation system of Yerevan and address the severe issue of air pollution that has become critical for the city.
Yesterday, during the annual meeting of the World Bank's Eastern Europe and Central Asia region, we met with Ekaterina Miroshnik, the Director of Infrastructure Projects for the Eurasian region, and Katarina Hanse, the Regional Director for the Caucasus, to discuss the financing possibilities for these projects among other issues.”
