A Dog Attacks 10-Year-Old Girl in Russia, Child Dies

During the May holidays, in the village of Sovietsky, Russia, two girls aged 10 and 14 visited their grandfather's house, where a tragic incident occurred. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

On May 10, at noon, a man who owned two Rottweiler dogs let the animals out for a walk in the backyard. When the 10-year-old girl came out into the yard, the dogs attacked her, inflicting severe injuries to her torso, head, and facial extremities. The injured child was immediately taken to a medical facility, where she passed away later that evening during surgery.

In connection with the initiated criminal case, necessary investigative actions are being taken. An assessment will be made regarding the care of the animals and the safety measures taken by the dog's owner, as well as determining the future fate of the animals involved.
