Vilen Gabrielyan on Elderly Assault in Gyumri

Parliament member Vilen Gabrielyan from the 'Civil Contract' faction posted on his Facebook page, stating:

"I want to say that if I were the one initiating and organizing the protest actions, and the people invited to the street (whom I am responsible for as they responded to my call) were to assault someone, first of all, that would be completely ruled out from the outset. Secondly, even if it were to happen, I would be the first to morally reproach those individuals. Thirdly, I would personally go to the victims to apologize. Fourthly, I would publicly ask for forgiveness and condemn any form of violence. Fifthly, I would call on the police to impose the strictest penalties for such incidents, as it cannot in any way relate to our struggle. However, since I am not, I am not saying this," Gabrielyan wrote.
