Tragic Incident in Lori Region: Rescuers Discover Body of 85-Year-Old Woman Reported Missing

On May 10, a tragic incident occurred in the Lori region. Around 10:45 AM, the Emergency Situations Ministry received a call at the 9-11 crisis management center reporting that a woman had fallen from a cliff near the village of Little Ayrium in the Akhtala community.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a firefighting team from the 39th Fire and Rescue Brigade promptly arrived at the scene. Officers from the 2nd platoon of the Lori regional police’s patrol service also responded quickly under the command of platoon leader Armen Boyajyan and senior officer Arman Sukiasyan.

Currently, the rescuers, along with senior officer Marat Zalyan and junior officer Albert Hakverdyan from the 2nd platoon, are skillfully transporting the body approximately 300 meters to the roadway using a stretcher, until the morgue from the Alaverdi Medical Center arrives.

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the deceased was 85-year-old Anna H., a resident of the Lori region, who had been searched for by her relatives and officers of the Tumanyan police department since yesterday. Materials are being prepared in the investigation department of the Tumanyan police regarding the case.
