Rutube Internal Files Exposed

As reported, the Rutube video hosting service was subjected to a hacking attack on the night of May 9. The company believes that the cyberattack was planned specifically for this date to disrupt the broadcast of a victory parade on Rutube, according to BBC's Russian service.

It is noted that on the same day, screenshots from the service's internal system appeared on Twitter, showing a list of user channels. A letter was also published, allegedly authored by Rutube's director Alexey Nazarov, which he sent to the FSB, containing a complaint regarding possible fraud in the procurement of information security systems from the Russian subsidiary of Group IB.

"All that money has been wasted," the authors of the document commented on Twitter.
