Opposition Attempts to Justify Horrific Incident, Says Vahagn Aleksanyan

QP member Vahagn Aleksanyan's statement: “Opposition MPs are trying in every way to justify and downplay the horrific incident that occurred yesterday. They are attempting to present it as if the elderly were part of a specially organized provocation, whether they were paid or directed. However, a random vox pop in Gyumri will show what percentage of Gyumri residents hold a certain attitude towards the movement that calls itself 'the legacy of the Turks'. If opposition MPs believe that they should address the Gyumri residents in such a manner and that the elderly residents of Gyumri should bless them in response, I cannot say. But in ANY case, brutally beating an elderly man with a stick by dozens of healthy young people is simply a matter of values. It is important that the police are working very quickly and organized, and most participants of this abhorrent act have already been detained.”
