Why No Chief of Staff is Appointed: Former Deputy Responds
There is a temporary appointee fulfilling the duties of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces. This means that if someone has been appointed, that person's capabilities allow them to be in that position. They have all the powers of the person holding the main position. As to why no one is appointed, I can’t answer that. Is there no one who can take this role? I reiterate, if someone has been appointed, then there is a qualified individual.
This was stated earlier today by Lieutenant General Tiran Khachatryan, the former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, during a conversation with journalists in Yerablur.
“If someone is seen as a candidate, then that person likely does not wish to be appointed. This is my opinion, and I see no other explanation in this matter. In other words, there is no candidate, and the candidate that exists does not want to be appointed,” Khachatryan noted.
