‘Neo-Nazism supporters revealed their faces’: Zakharova responds to attack on Russian ambassador in Poland
During a wreath-laying ceremony at the cemetery of Soviet soldiers in Warsaw, the attack on the Russian ambassador proves that the West has taken a path towards the revival of fascism. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, on her Telegram channel.
‘The neo-Nazism supporters have once again revealed their faces, and they are bloody. The destruction of monuments to World War II heroes, the desecration of graves, and now the disruption of the wreath-laying ceremony on this holy day for every decent person clearly prove what is already evident: the West has taken a path towards the revival of fascism,’ wrote the diplomat.
Earlier, the Russian ambassador to Poland, Sergey Andreev, was attacked while laying flowers at the Soviet soldiers' memorial in the streets of Żwirki and Wigury in Warsaw. Red paint was poured on the ambassador of the Russian Federation, his wife, and a group of accompanying diplomats, who were not allowed to proceed to the memorial site.
