Instagram to Begin NFT Testing This Week

Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Instagram will begin testing NFTs on its platform this week, according to the Daily Mail.

“This week we are starting the testing of digital collectibles on Instagram, allowing creators and collectors to showcase their NFTs on their profiles,” Zuckerberg said. He also added that a similar feature will soon be available on Facebook.

As Instagram head Adam Mosseri mentioned to the newspaper, authors and collectors will soon be able to display their NFTs in their feeds, stories, and messages. Mosseri emphasized that there will be no fee to publish or share digital collectibles.
