Significant Fuel Price Increase Recorded in Germany
The most pronounced increase in diesel prices among EU countries has been registered in Germany, Sweden, and Latvia, reports Deutsche Welle. It is noted that over the past two months, diesel prices in these countries have surged by 38 cents, rising from €1.66 to €2.04 per liter. This information was published by the Funke media group on May 8.
In France, the price of a liter of diesel fuel increased by 17 cents, while in Italy it rose by 5 cents. From January 3 to April 25, diesel fuel prices in Germany have increased by 47 cents per liter. Such data have been provided in response to the European Commission, compiled by the Federal Statistical Office of Germany in response to a relevant inquiry.
