If War Breaks Out, I Will Consider Myself a Blessed Parent if My Son Sacrifices His Life for the Homeland: Gnel Sargsyan
Actor Gnel Sargsyan organized a gathering yesterday near the statue of Sasuntsi Davit, describing it as a civic meeting. According to him, the owners of Armenia and Artsakh are each citizen, and every citizen is the owner of the country. “Therefore, the citizen is the one who decides when and what needs to happen. The citizen has made his decision, ordered the servants, and demands that they work. Good workers get higher wages, while bad workers are removed from their positions. Especially in recent years, we see changes every day in specific power structures, in the police system,” said Sargsyan.
According to Gnel Sargsyan, there is a creeping illiteracy in the country; he has only received an 8th-grade education, and the country has been like this due to various factors including earthquakes and wars, but he has engaged in self-education and emphasized the importance of obtaining an education.
Sargsyan also spoke about the atmosphere of hatred, noting that it is wrong to have enemies among each other, as the main enemy is the Turk. “Here is Mrs. Galyan; we are in daily communication with many parents, and I seem to be able to convince them that they have not lost a son, but rather found a hero, a worthy child. And yes, I will reaffirm my words here: if needed and if there is war, I will consider myself a blessed parent if my son also sacrifices his life for the homeland, and I do not distinguish between one child and another,” he added. The event was accompanied by chants of “Nikol, prime minister.”
