Employee's Left Hand Injured: Citizen Wounded in Sotk Works in the Industry

Intense gunfire from the Azerbaijani side towards the Sotk gold mine began last evening and has not ceased today. At noon, the firing continued, resulting in an injured employee, said Rouzanna Grigoryan, a representative of the mining company Geopromining, which operates the Sotk gold mine, in a conversation with Aysor.am.

According to her, the injured citizen works in the production sector. “The employee's left hand has been injured; fortunately, there are no injuries to internal organs. He is currently in the hospital, and doctors are assessing the condition of the mine employee as stable,” Grigoryan said.

The company representative also noted that she does not have information on whether intense gunfire is still ongoing in the mine area. “But I can say that the Sotk mine has ceased operations, and employees have been evacuated for safety reasons,” Grigoryan added.
