Vanetsyan: 'We Must Ensure Pashinyan's Physical Security'
The public is expecting the names of those who will come after Pashinyan to be announced. This was stated by Arthur Vanetsyan, the head of the opposition 'I Have Honor' faction, during his speech at France Square, where he is one of the leaders of the opposition movement.
Vanetsyan explained that this is why broader segments of society are not joining the struggle. He did not provide any names but assured that the opposition has several times more human resources than the current government.
“Whoever will be the leader of the country in the future or the makeup of the government will be resolved over time,” said Vanetsyan.
The opposition representative also addressed the issue of what will happen to Pashinyan after the change of power. “I and everyone must guarantee the physical security of Nikol Pashinyan and the current government members. This means that the person must know that nothing will happen to him. But at the same time, there must be an investigation, and if it is proven that a certain person, including Nikol Pashinyan, is guilty of the committed crimes, they must be punished,” said Vanetsyan.
It is noteworthy that shortly before, another protest action by the opposition commenced from France Square in Yerevan. Participants moved in several groups in different directions to carry out today’s act of disobedience.
