Security Officials Hold Their Breath Awaiting Agvan Hovsepyan's Speech
The newspaper "Joghvorud" reports that a court hearing concerning the former Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Agvan Hovsepyan, took place yesterday at the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan. During the session, Hovsepyan made noteworthy statements, indicating that over the past three years he has received messages from relevant authorities, warning him that if he attempts to leave the country, his sons would be immediately arrested.
According to information from "Joghvorud," the leadership of security agencies—including the Prosecutor General's Office, the National Police of Armenia, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Anti-Corruption Committee, and the National Security Service—attentively and anxiously followed Hovsepyan's remarks, waiting to see if they would be addressed. However, Hovsepyan only referred to Sassoon Khachatryan, the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee, mentioning that he applied to work as an investigator in the Investigative Committee but was rejected.
Later on, Hovsepyan was approached by the father of Sassoon Khachatryan, Mher Khachatryan, the chairman of the Arabkir court, but his request was also not granted.
