New Photos from the Morning Accident

Today, on May 6, a major and tragic car accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 06:30, 31-year-old resident of Yerevan, Artyom Ye, lost control of his Toyota Corolla and crashed into an iron electricity pole on Isakov Avenue, near the Police Academy.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver died on the spot.

Rescue teams used special equipment to extract the driver’s body from the vehicle and then transported it on a stretcher to a transfer vehicle.

The accident also caused the car parts to be strewn about, damaging the glass and walls of a nearby auto parts store, while a gas cylinder was thrown about 30 meters away.
