Major and Tragic Car Accident Occurs in the Morning: Driver Dies at the Scene

This morning, on May 6, a major and tragic car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 6:30 AM, a 31-year-old resident of Yerevan, Artyom E., lost control of the Toyota Corolla he was driving on Isakov Avenue, near the Police Academy, and collided with a metal electricity pole.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver died at the scene of the accident. Rescuers used special equipment to extract the driver’s body from the car and then transported the body on a stretcher to the vehicle for transportation.

The accident also caused debris from the car to be scattered, damaging the windows and walls of a nearby auto parts store, while a gas cylinder was thrown about 30 meters away.
